Finally, an OS X build is officially available! As first releases are, this one is considered experimental until proven to be stable. Any feedback from OS X users is appreciated.
The margin tool seems to be broken for me. Anytime I click it, I get the mac beachball and Evernus crashes. Everything else seems to work fine for me. (running on 10.9.4)
One minor issue: cmd+Q doesn’t seem to work either.
There might be some problems with libraries, could you export this in the terminal:
run evernus from the same window, you can do this with following command(if you drag the app into the terminal it will paste it’s path):
open the maring tool and paste the terminal output here?
This is what comes after I open the Margin Tool:
dyld: loaded: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Shortcut.framework/Versions/A/Shortcut
dyld: loaded: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/HelpData.framework/Versions/A/HelpData
dyld: loaded: /usr/lib/libtidy.A.dylib
Segmentation fault: 11
I’m not sure if I exported the first thing right? I just copy pasted the command but nothing happened. Running evernus from the same window did, however, work and give me a whole list of outputs. (I’m not very familiar with programming/terminal/etc.!). The output I copy pasted above comes directly after I opened the margin tool. (It crashed again upon opening)
After the crash, Problem Report Window should open. If you could paste all the output so we can trace the problem that would be great. You can use site like http://pastebin.com because the output will be really long.
Regarding other problems they should be fixed in the next release.
I hope this is what you need!
I can’t edit my first post, so my apologies for posting this second one.
I’ve found two more issues:
1. After using Evernus for a (short) while, I find the options under ‘File’ and ‘Tools’ to be greyed out. Only after restarting the program I can use them again.
2. I cannot sort my orders based on volume. All the other columns work fine for that matter.
Lastly, I want to thank you for making this available on Mac! I absolutely love this tool and I find it to be irreplaceable already.
Glad you like it! Try to do what Daren proposed and we’ll see what we can do about those errors.
Many thanks for the logs. Pete was most likely able to track down and fix the issue. However I’m not able to reproduce the problem you have with margin tool, but I can give you the lastest build of the app and hopefully it will work for you. We appreciate all your feedback 🙂
I’m just glad to be of help! Whenever I encounter something, I’ll make sure to let you guys know 🙂
Keep up the awesome work! Absolutely loving it!
Does this version work for you?
I’m afraid it doesn’t… It actually makes EVE Online crash too for some reason Is that even possible? – I was having trouble loading the in-game browser so I changed my video settings today, maybe it’s got something to do with that…
I went ahead and collected the crash report for you, but I didn’t open it with Terminal like before. Do you want me to?
Anyway, here’s the pastebin:
Found one more little issue:
In the orders tab, when clicking on a price with a red “X” next to it (stating that you’ve been overbid), the pop-up flickers for a split second, instead of staying open. It auto-copies the new price to the clipboard, but you can’t read what it says (unless you’re a god at speedreading).
I use it for the auto-copying so I’m not too bothered by this, just thought I’d let you guys know.
